DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

All Master’s students are required to complete a minimum of 33 credits. These are earned by taking required core courses, certain required courses from social and technical areas, other chosen electives, and research. Both non-thesis and thesis track options are available. Students in either option will declare the social or technical area that will be their area of specialization. This is the area of research for their SpSt 997 Independent Study or SpSt 998 Thesis. To provide the intended inter-disciplinary aspect of this program, students must complete required social and technical area courses outside their area of specialization.
